What kind of denier should you choose in Decoy tights?

Denier is related to density. The lower the denier, the more sheer the quality of your socks, tights or leggings. Denier is often abbreviated to den.

Up to 15 denier: Very sheer
15 - 30 denier: Sheer
30 - 40 denier: Opaque
40 denier and above: Very opaque

The higher the denier you choose, the more opaque and warmer your tights are. Therefore, a good choice for cold winter months would be 40 deniers or upwards. If, on the other hand, you want a more sheer look so that your legs can be seen through the stockings, then choose a lower denier.
